post-secondary students across the nation learn more about career
exploration and planning. Why? To give the students purpose and goals
to set during high school; to emphasize the importance of education in
achieving these goals; and to exposure students to realistic career
possibilities
This section provides a few of the job opportunities available in the
construction industry and gives information on what might be required of
the employer and what academic and/or experience the employee is
expected to bring to the job.
Several positions such as Estimator, Field Manager
and Superintendent have varied levels. Typically the senior positions
require more experience and have greater responsibilities.
When a high school degree is listed as a
requirement, many employers will accept an equivalent such as a GED.
